Christmas Lights Switch-on Wednesday 17th November 2004. Classic hits Radio and the Hereford Cathedral Choir led the entertainment with the Mayor and Lorna Dale, the Maylords Pop Idol Contest Winner, who switched on the lights. Central TV have shown a small documentary (7th December) about Hereford, showing some of the event. Classic Hits Roadshow is supporting the late night Wednesday shopping evenings together with stilt walkers and fire-eaters provided by Circus Malabaristas. Some of the streets have not been decorated with lights this year - due to the poor condition of equipment. |
